Two years ago, I wrote 6 short stories for Halloween around the theme that: love and obsession walk the same thin line.

This year?

Our theme is: The Price of Being Chosen.

Each story explores what happens when love crosses into possession — when something larger than you decides you are theirs. Whether it’s technology, grief, ocean, ritual, or spirit, each tale is about surrender, about what you become when escape is no longer possible.

This collection is about a love that won’t let go — even if it has to remake you.

I’m Tierra Cox, a romance author and cross-genre novelist devoted to stories where we, Black women, are seen, desired, and worshiped out loud.

By day, I navigate the corporate communications world—but by night, I build realms where monsters kneel, empires burn, and love is never ordinary.

Armed with an overpriced English degree and an imagination that refuses to stay quiet, I write across fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi, and gothic romance—all bound by one promise: Black women at the center of passion, power, and possibility.

Every world I create asks the same question—what does it look like when a woman like us is the story’s beating heart? Expect devotion, danger, and desire that lingers long after the final page.

When I’m not writing (which is rare), you’ll find me somewhere in Georgia watching bad sci-fi, dreaming about alien royalty, or wandering through my next world before it’s written.

My entire collection is available on NOIR PAGES, in paperback on Amazon and in collections on my website!
