He loved her first. He wanted her most. And now, she's finally his.

Elio has loved Delphine Dahlia Davis since the moment he laid eyes on her. Unfortunately, his best friend, Xavier, got to her first.

For years, Elio watched the woman he adored build a life with another man. He was her confidant, her comfort, her shoulder to cry on. He knew her favorite things, remembered every smile, and silently wished for the day she'd finally see him as more than a friend.

Then Xavier died.

Now, Delphine is his wife, and Elio has everything he's ever wanted. Her kisses. Her body. Her love. A lifetime to worship the woman he's spent years dreaming about.

There's just one problem.

She hasn't forgotten Xavier.

And apparently, neither has he.

Because his dead best friend has started showing up in their home, taunting Elio with intimate memories of the woman they both loved.

Maybe Xavier really has returned from the grave.

Maybe Elio is losing his mind.

Or maybe loving Delphine was never enough. Maybe what Elio really wanted was to be the only man she'd ever loved.

After all, death should have been enough to make Xavier disappear.

I’m Tierra Cox, a romance author and cross-genre novelist devoted to stories where we, Black women, are seen, desired, and worshiped out loud.

By day, I navigate the corporate communications world—but by night, I build realms where monsters kneel, empires burn, and love is never ordinary.

Armed with an overpriced English degree and an imagination that refuses to stay quiet, I write across fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi, and gothic romance—all bound by one promise: Black women at the center of passion, power, and possibility.

Every world I create asks the same question—what does it look like when a woman like us is the story’s beating heart?

When I’m not writing (which is rare), you’ll find me somewhere in Georgia watching bad sci-fi, dreaming about alien royalty, or wandering through my next world before it’s written.

My entire collection is available on NOIR PAGES, in paperback on Amazon and in collections on my website!
