Zenni Blake has always loved Christmas, and this year is no different. She’s been counting down the days to a smooth, drama-free holiday spent with her husband, Evan, and her parents, wrapped in familiar traditions, good food, and a little peace she feels she’s earned.
That plan falls apart the moment her extended family shows up uninvited. Old arguments creep back into conversation, side comments hit harder than intended, and the past refuses to stay buried. Everyone brings baggage, and no one leaves it at the door.
In this holiday short story, it isn’t just gifts being unwrapped. Family drama comes out in full display, and some secrets change everything once they’re finally revealed.
