Juneteenth was supposed to bring the family back together.
Instead, the reunion turns into a full-blown disaster nobody can explain.
For the first time since Big Mama’s funeral, the whole family is under one roof for a chaotic cookout filled with loud cousins, old grudges, burnt ribs, undercooked mac and cheese, and suspicious dishes nobody remembers seeing on the table before.
But when people start getting mysteriously sick, the reunion goes from messy to dangerous real fast.
Now everybody’s blaming the food while secretly wondering who in the family hated them enough to poison dessert.
The Cookout is a darkly funny mystery packed with family drama, bad decisions, side-eyes, and enough chaos to ruin Juneteenth for everybody.
