Carvalho men never forget what’s owed to them…
Mikko Calloway left Atlantic City with her mother buried behind her, and no plans to ever look back.
But a thirteen-year-old favor between friends, finds a way to change everything.
Ten years later, on her birthday in Miami, the boy she once knew comes back as a man with power, secrets, and every intention of collecting on a promise she thought time had buried.
From the casinos of Atlantic City to the nightlife of Brazil, Matheus “Teo” Carvalho was raised inside a family where every debt comes due and every lie eventually finds its way home. Now his own lies are catching up with him, his title is within reach, and proving he is ready to lead may require the one thing he never planned to have.
A wife.
Because a promise to a Carvalho is never just a promise.
It is a debt.
And Matheus has waited long enough to collect.
