Wildlife Vet Charlotte Bennett is used to solitude. Glacier’s silence has always steadied her—until the night gunshots split the air in a no-hunting zone. Tracking the sound, she finds a wounded cougar that behaves in a way no wild animal should: it trusts her.

She doesn’t know the creature is Miisii—Vincent—a Blackfeet protector and shifter sworn to guard Glacier’s hidden kin. A group of shifter-hunters has crossed into the park, and one of his brothers is already dead. Injured by a silver bullet that traps him in cougar form, Miisii must rely on the vet who should have feared him.

As winter deepens, Charlotte and Vincent cross paths again—first ranger and vet, then something far more dangerous. The poachers notice her bond with the mysterious cougar and decide she’s the perfect bait. To save her, Vincent must break centuries of secrecy and reveal the truth of what he is and who he protects.

When the thaw finally comes, Charlotte must decide whether the world she knows is big enough to hold the one Vincent reveals—and whether love can be forged between a woman of the wild and the man who becomes its fiercest guardian.

I’m Tierra Cox, a romance author and cross-genre novelist devoted to stories where we, Black women, are seen, desired, and worshiped out loud.

By day, I navigate the corporate communications world—but by night, I build realms where monsters kneel, empires burn, and love is never ordinary.

Armed with an overpriced English degree and an imagination that refuses to stay quiet, I write across fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi, and gothic romance—all bound by one promise: Black women at the center of passion, power, and possibility.

Every world I create asks the same question—what does it look like when a woman like us is the story’s beating heart? Expect devotion, danger, and desire that lingers long after the final page.

When I’m not writing (which is rare), you’ll find me somewhere in Georgia watching bad sci-fi, dreaming about alien royalty, or wandering through my next world before it’s written.

My entire collection is available on NOIR PAGES, in paperback on Amazon and in collections on my website!
