This is a haunting tale of psychological obsession, it is a clear view into the mind of a man too far gone to understand the line between love and obsession. This is also my border and \"poking at\" the so-called dark romance being written by yt authors...

When Daphne wakes from a coma, she finds herself in the arms of Cassian, a man who claims to be her husband. Senior Intelligence Liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, Cassian’s job is assessing threats to the nation. But the threat he fears most is losing her.

He tells her they were in love. That every day she lay unconscious, he was waiting. Watching. Planning for the life they would reclaim.

But nothing about this life feels right. Not the house too perfect to be home. Not the way he touches her like she’s breakable—while studying her like she’s evidence. Not the tender devotion that trembles with the weight of obsession.

Her memory is gone, but her instincts scream: she didn’t forget him by accident. She left him.

I’m Tierra Cox, a romance author and cross-genre novelist devoted to stories where we, Black women, are seen, desired, and worshiped out loud.

By day, I navigate the corporate communications world—but by night, I build realms where monsters kneel, empires burn, and love is never ordinary.

Armed with an overpriced English degree and an imagination that refuses to stay quiet, I write across fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi, and gothic romance—all bound by one promise: Black women at the center of passion, power, and possibility.

Every world I create asks the same question—what does it look like when a woman like us is the story’s beating heart? Expect devotion, danger, and desire that lingers long after the final page.

When I’m not writing (which is rare), you’ll find me somewhere in Georgia watching bad sci-fi, dreaming about alien royalty, or wandering through my next world before it’s written.

My entire collection is available on NOIR PAGES, in paperback on Amazon and in collections on my website!
