Cerys Halbrook has built her career on a single belief: not every monster needs to be destroyed.

As Assistant Director of Research for the ECPS, she studies what others fear: cryptids, possession events, extradimensional threats, and the impossible creatures that slip through the seams of the world. Where others see danger, Cerys searches for patterns. Meaning. A way to understand what should not exist.

Then the agency captures Aries Strix.

He is not what they expected.

Descended from the first Veilborn bloodline, Aries carries the bound essence of Rhexiel, an Umbriel Devourer, one of the oldest shadow-born predators in existence. For thirty-four years, Aries has shared his body with the ancient being inside him, tempering Rhexiel’s hunger at the cost of his own autonomy.

But Aries is not possessed.

He is shared.

Two consciousnesses.
One body.
A bond forged in childhood, sustained by restraint, and complicated by something far more dangerous than fear.

Choice.

I’m Tierra Cox, a romance author and cross-genre novelist devoted to stories where we, Black women, are seen, desired, and worshiped out loud.

By day, I navigate the corporate communications world—but by night, I build realms where monsters kneel, empires burn, and love is never ordinary.

Armed with an overpriced English degree and an imagination that refuses to stay quiet, I write across fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi, and gothic romance—all bound by one promise: Black women at the center of passion, power, and possibility.

Every world I create asks the same question—what does it look like when a woman like us is the story’s beating heart? Expect devotion, danger, and desire that lingers long after the final page.

When I’m not writing (which is rare), you’ll find me somewhere in Georgia watching bad sci-fi, dreaming about alien royalty, or wandering through my next world before it’s written.

My entire collection is available on NOIR PAGES, in paperback on Amazon and in collections on my website!
