Unemployed and burning through her savings, Rachel inherits a house from a great-aunt, Beatrice. Her best friend, Natay, is struggling too. A paid-off home and a little inheritance money could give them both a chance to start over.

Then they find a message written across the wall:

I’M GOING TO GIVE YOU GOOD NIGHTMARES.

They think the house is haunted. The Church knows it’s a prison.

Two entities are bound to the property, and Rachel has inherited the power to hold its strange doorways steady. Ephraim has a hard attitude and a growing weakness for her. Morrow invades Natay’s dreams and becomes far too interested in staying close. Sharing a home with them is unnerving. Falling for them wasn’t part of the plan.

But Beatrice’s death has left something vulnerable between worlds, and an ancient creature is searching for a way through. Rachel’s still learning what she can do. Natay’s dreams are opening doors of their own. Together, they’ll have to protect the home they’ve finally found—and the monsters who are beginning to make it feel like one.

After all, monsters aren’t always the worst things waiting outside your door.
