A commander who won’t bow. A queen who won’t back down.
Pharaoh Montclair expects his orders to be followed. Queen Ayo refuses to take them, especially from a man who thinks he can handle her.
Every encounter becomes a battle of wills, and every challenge draws them closer.
Enemies become lovers. Lovers become enemies. But even when they’re ready to go to war, neither can leave the other alone.
Pharaoh won’t submit to her crown. Ayo won’t surrender her authority. While they fight over who calls the shots, enemies wait in the shadows for the perfect moment to strike.
Now they must find their way back to each other and stand together before their enemies make the choice for them.
Commander versus queen.
Both are used to winning. Neither knows how to surrender.
