They’d planned their lives and were set to get married until Jaceon reveals a change in the plans they had for the future. Hit with the devastating blow that he no longer wants children, Alexis breaks things off.

Years later, she is married with a beautiful daughter and pregnant with her son. Tragedy strikes when her husband is killed in an unsolved hit and run accident. After struggling through her pregnancy and dealing with her grief for a year, Alexis realizes she needs help. She, her four-year-old daughter, and six-month-old son have returned home to live with her parents while Alexis gets herself together. For Alexis, the move to heal current wounds leads to the opening of old ones.

When Jaceon crosses paths with the once love of his life, every feeling he thought he buried comes right back to the surface. Realizing that he made a grave mistake has him jumping through hoops to rekindle what he’d foolishly lost. Still fresh with heartbreak, Alexis is forced to deal with the feelings she ran from all those years ago when close proximity continuously lands her and Jaceon in familiar spaces.

Will she give in to the reemergence of past feelings, or does the timing prove to be too much for the once couple to handle?","format",{"_19":115,"_88":116,"_117":118,"_118":96},"publisher","Blackstone Publishing, Inc.","page_count","duration","published_date","pub_date","May 15","isbn","9798212649643","asin","B0DMTV25MX","hex_code","#e82818","language","English","purchase_links",[],"playlist_links",[],"cover","https://cdn.blackauthored.com/books/177i/06d3d2c0-0557-4885-8d82-5ebff5210c76.jpg","thumb","https://img.blackauthored.com/?preset=poster_thumb&image=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.blackauthored.com%2Fbooks%2F177i%2F06d3d2c0-0557-4885-8d82-5ebff5210c76.jpg","rating_distribution",{"_108":109,"_110":111},"tags",[84,85,86],{"_19":30,"_88":104,"_90":105,"_53":-5,"_51":106,"_93":107,"_95":46,"_97":46,"_98":48},{"_19":99,"_88":100,"_90":101,"_53":-5,"_51":102,"_93":103,"_95":96,"_97":46,"_98":48},{"_19":87,"_88":89,"_90":91,"_53":-5,"_51":92,"_93":94,"_95":96,"_97":46,"_98":48},71,"name","Contemporary","category","setting","contemporary","url","/settings/contemporary","selectable",true,"sensitive","position",35,"Second Chance","trope","second-chance","/tropes/second-chance","Romance","genre","romance","/genres/romance","ratings",{},"recommend",{"_112":48,"_113":48,"_114":30},"yes","no","maybe",4,"Audio CD","type","audio",{"_19":120,"_88":121,"_51":122,"_123":124,"_125":126,"_127":128,"_129":130,"_131":96},"d6f6c3a4-50c6-48ac-a95f-b5a2f43ef860","Kimberly Brown","22-kimberly-brown","biography","
