When Zadie buys a rundown cottage at the edge of the mountains, she only wants quiet—books, starlight, and the wild view she’s promised herself for years.

What she doesn’t know is that her new home sits on the seam between worlds.

For centuries, dragons have listened through the thinning veil that divides their realm from ours. One of them—a black dragon with eyes like embered glass—hears Zadie’s teasing midnight wish for magic, for love, for escape. When the spring equinox comes, he crosses the veil and takes her.

Aric is ancient, lonely, and far too literal. To him, she is the mate he has waited an age to claim. To her, he’s every myth she ever half-believed made flesh.

Trapped in a world of crystal cities and living flame, Zadie must survive six months before the next equinox opens the way home. But the more she learns about Aric—and the secret history of the dragons who once sealed the realms apart—the more she wonders whether the real danger lies in returning at all.

Love opened the veil once before. Doing it again could save them… or unmake both worlds.

I’m Tierra Cox, a romance author and cross-genre novelist devoted to stories where we, Black women, are seen, desired, and worshiped out loud.

By day, I navigate the corporate communications world—but by night, I build realms where monsters kneel, empires burn, and love is never ordinary.

Armed with an overpriced English degree and an imagination that refuses to stay quiet, I write across fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi, and gothic romance—all bound by one promise: Black women at the center of passion, power, and possibility.

Every world I create asks the same question—what does it look like when a woman like us is the story’s beating heart? Expect devotion, danger, and desire that lingers long after the final page.

When I’m not writing (which is rare), you’ll find me somewhere in Georgia watching bad sci-fi, dreaming about alien royalty, or wandering through my next world before it’s written.

My entire collection is available on NOIR PAGES, in paperback on Amazon and in collections on my website!
