A single mother holding everything together through her first holiday as a divorcee, Thyri Anderson, has a lot to contend with.
Between raising a teenage son, who's become attracted to the allure of the streets, and a father recovering from a stroke, she's been keeping her life balanced through sheer will and a promise to herself that she may bend but never break. When she takes on a job as a nanny to get up money to get her father out of a dire health situation, she doesn't expect to be enamored by her employer on the first day.
Enzo Sullivan is a single father and business owner by day and a contracted hitman by night. Coming from a family whose name precedes them, he moves with intention and precision in every aspect of his life. And the only place he's soft is at home—with his two-year-old son.
As the holidays are ushered in, Thyri and Enzo connect through their love for family, devotion to their sons, and willingness to make things happen. In a season built on bringing people together, they learn that sometimes the best gift may be someone who understands your world.
