Don’t sleep on this story or this author.” ~ International award-winning and best-selling author Cole Hart.
Rising star, urban fiction author Lakia brings another riveting hood love story that has elements of everything, including family run business, stark manipulation, illegal side hustle, and unbridle love matters.
Sweets Gentlemen’s Club, family owned and ran by Michael and Kenya Stewart, is a respectable strip club that is not your average strip club, everything is high class with a high class clientele. Their children, Aaliyah, Kairo, and Tiana, are counting down the time and can’t wait for their parents to hand over the business to them. With an opportunity presenting itself, the trio tries to prove that they are indeed ready to takeover. However, poorly hiring decision making could cost the family everything that they have managed to maintain and build, putting all of their lively hoods in jeopardy, proving that they may not be as ready as they initially thought.
Not only are their professional lives are in disarray, but their personal lives are too. Aaliyah finds her “perfect” self trapped in an unrequited hood love, nullifying her perfect good girl image. But when she leaves for greener grass, she learns that the greener grass is in fact brown with a strong funky odor, completely bs. Tiana is in love with her street king Flip, and she’s making moves to be his street queen alongside him. But when an impromptu meeting turns out to be a setup with an uncover agent, Tiana’s gangsta is tested, seeing if she really is about that life. However, unexpected news may just have her switching up from being the street queen she’s trying to be.
Meet these new characters and all of the drama and mess that they get themselves into.
