The part about the streets that’s looked over the most…are the lives they claim.

KB thought he survived the worst the game had to offer…but one’s rise has a way of multiplying enemies.

When a brutal cartel war erupts between Toya, the woman who helped build his empire, and Ms. Diaz, the most feared drug lord in the country, KB is forced to choose between loyalty, love, and revenge after the loss of his unborn child.

Back in Clarksville, the city’s eating itself alive. Peanut’s return from prison ignites a ruthless turf war with Tion, turning old alliances into targets and dragging innocent lives into the crossfire.

As jealousy, betrayal, and ambition collide, the streets become a chessboard…but every move costs a body.

Love isn’t safe.
Loyalty is deadly.
And KB learns that once you reach the top…
There’s only one way to stay there.

By embracing the monster the streets created.

What's good My Peoples?! I'm KOLD, an author of Street Lit, Urban Romance, Urban Paranormal, and Erotica. I'm from Clarksville, TN and I have been writing since 2015.

My author journey began while I was incarcerated in Kentucky. We didn't have any books by Black authors available to us at the facility I was in, and after speaking with inmates on the yard, we felt Street Lit books weren't reflecting our real experiences. I told them I could do better, and they challenged me to do it. So, that same day, I went in my cell and began writing, The Bottom. During my final eight years of incarceration, I wrote 33 books before I was granted parole in 2022. I became known as the 'walking library' at multiple prisons due to me always carrying around a large net bag full of my books.

To this day, I still handwrite every book, and I continue to base my stories off experiences either I myself have experienced, or the experiences of others I was around.

Writing is what saved me from getting out of prison and continuing down the same path in the streets that I was used to. I use my pen to articulate my thoughts, writing every story like a movie because that's how they play in my head.

While I am an author...I began a reader.

My favorite authors are a lot but they are: Donald Goines, Kwan, Wahida Clark, Nikki Turner, Kiki Swinson, Ashley & JaQuavis, Treasure Hernandez, Jahquel J, Kutura B, Theresa Reese, Ada Afam, M. Monique, C. Wilson, Bonnie Blanco, and T'Lyn. Non-Black authors I've read and enjoyed are James Patterson, Lee Child, Victor Fleming, and Janet Evanoich.

I am also an award-winning playwright after winning a PEN Award in 2022 for my play \"Can't Win PEN\".

I'm a writer hoping to write a book in every genre someday.

All I need is one chapter, allow your eyes to read one chapter from any book, and you'll be hooked. I appreciate you all in advance.
