What's good My Peoples?! I'm KOLD, an author of Street Lit, Urban Romance, Urban Paranormal, and Erotica. I'm from Clarksville, TN and I have been writing since 2015.

My author journey began while I was incarcerated in Kentucky. We didn't have any books by Black authors available to us at the facility I was in, and after speaking with inmates on the yard, we felt Street Lit books weren't reflecting our real experiences. I told them I could do better, and they challenged me to do it. So, that same day, I went in my cell and began writing, The Bottom. During my final eight years of incarceration, I wrote 33 books before I was granted parole in 2022. I became known as the 'walking library' at multiple prisons due to me always carrying around a large net bag full of my books.

To this day, I still handwrite every book, and I continue to base my stories off experiences either I myself have experienced, or the experiences of others I was around.

Writing is what saved me from getting out of prison and continuing down the same path in the streets that I was used to. I use my pen to articulate my thoughts, writing every story like a movie because that's how they play in my head.

While I am an author...I began a reader.

My favorite authors are a lot but they are: Donald Goines, Kwan, Wahida Clark, Nikki Turner, Kiki Swinson, Ashley & JaQuavis, Treasure Hernandez, Jahquel J, Kutura B, Theresa Reese, Ada Afam, M. Monique, C. Wilson, Bonnie Blanco, and T'Lyn. Non-Black authors I've read and enjoyed are James Patterson, Lee Child, Victor Fleming, and Janet Evanoich.

I am also an award-winning playwright after winning a PEN Award in 2022 for my play \"Can't Win PEN\".

I'm a writer hoping to write a book in every genre someday.

All I need is one chapter, allow your eyes to read one chapter from any book, and you'll be hooked. I appreciate you all in advance.

At first, she wanted to earn his respect…until she realized she had to demand it…
Born the day her mother died, Penelope Santos was raised by the most ruthless cartel leader in the world. A father who never saw a daughter…just a soldier carrying his blood.
Geraldo Santos is Colombia’s most feared cartel leader, but he didn’t raise Penelope to be his precious little girl, or a princess. Instead, he molded her into a weapon. One that's ruthless, calculating, and every bit as deadly as him. Some would argue even more.
Penelope’s finally given the opportunity she’s spent years earning: the chance to prove to her father that she’s worthy of his acknowledgement, after he sends her to command his expanding operation in Nashville, Tennessee.
But America isn’t like Colombia.
The moment she arrives, every man beneath her command questions whether a woman deserves to lead them…and many would rather see her dead.
As if that isn’t enough, a young kingpin on the rise, Quan Anderson, turns their business negotiations into something far more dangerous…a forbidden attraction that could destroy both of their empires.
As cartels, Russian syndicates, Detroit power players, and enemies hiding in plain sight collide...the betrayals begin creating a tall pile of bodies.
Penelope didn't come to America just to protect her father's empire.
She came to build one of her own.
Because she refuses to spend the rest of her life being known as...The Plug's Daughter.
